{"id":2165,"date":"2024-02-17T19:53:02","date_gmt":"2024-02-17T19:53:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/procrastinationstation.me.uk\/?p=2165"},"modified":"2024-02-17T19:53:02","modified_gmt":"2024-02-17T19:53:02","slug":"british-fantasy-society-writing-retreat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/procrastinationstation.me.uk\/?p=2165","title":{"rendered":"British Fantasy Society &#8211; Writing Retreat"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Each year the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britishfantasysociety.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BFS <\/a>holds a writing retreat at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gladstoneslibrary.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gladstones Library <\/a>and as it&#8217;s for a limited number you have to apply and then names are drawn out of a hat. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/procrastinationstation.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/download.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" src=\"https:\/\/procrastinationstation.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/download.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2166\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>I applied for last year&#8217;s retreat but did not manage to get a place. When I applied for this year I was so glad to get a place. We go on a Friday and leave on Monday, so we have 4 days (3 nights) of time to write. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am currently outlining my fantasy novel so I can write this novel while there, I am hoping that this weekend will give me the focus to be able to get a good chunk of this done and hopefully set a habit to be able to continue once I am back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am really looking forward to it and will no doubt post once back.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each year the BFS holds a writing retreat at Gladstones Library and as it&#8217;s for a limited number you have to apply and then names are drawn out of a hat.
