I nearly forgot, I need to get these planned and done in time so I am proving some good content.
I have the Cineworld card and so I go to the cinema allot, I see most of the films that are released, all of the main ones that come out. I need to get some experience with reviewing as I think it could be useful, I confess I am easy to please when it comes to films and as such don’t put allot of stock in what reviewers say. Some people live by them but at the end of the day it is just someones opinion. There have been a few occasions where something has gotten a bad review and I have really enjoyed it, but like I said I am easy to please.
A good example of this is the new film Baywatch, apparently it got lots of bad reviews and isn’t doing well at the box office. This is surprising to me as I really enjoyed it, literally makes no sense to me?? Apparently if you are fan of the 80s TV series you shouldn’t like this films as it pokes fun at the TV series….. again made no sense to me, I loved the show and the new movie just took the mick out of some of the fantastical parts of the TV show, but that does not make me get angry or want to boycott the film!
Books on the other hand I do tend to look at and consider the reviews more, I am not sure why but I trust them more. IĀ like it when the review is from a normal person be it film or book, not the paid for or bias ones. I will read reviews from big papers or magazines but I take it all with a pinch of salt, if I like it then that doesn’t mean its really good, you may hate something but then like I said it’s all opinions!
This all being said I really do need to get a handle on how to give a good review as I could do film ones and book.
