So, i`m sat in the cafe in the student union building. Starting my first day back, I finished a HND in 2006 and have just came back to do the last two years of the Bsc Honours degree In Computing. I think in an effort to get me writing I am going to do some posts on what it is like at the united, and being a “mature” student.
As a society we wonder where the “Binge drinking” label comes from and from the hour that I have been back here I can see it is instilled into our kids at universities everywhere. I have lost count of the number of posters etc that I have seen for parties and events for returning and new students….. its crazy.
Now I will say that although my last paragraph sounds like a moaning old person, I do wish I had the experience of uni when I was younger, and I don’t blame one of my sons for wanting to experience it when he leave college.
