Getting near the end of my week off and we have come to Blackpool for 2 days. Set off at 07:00 this morning and got into Blackpool for just after 9:10, not a bad drive, we went a completely different way but as it was almost all motorway travel it was an easier drive, but took around the same amount of time.
Been to Blackpool Zoo all day, a good 5 1/2 hours of walking around, most of the day was dry although cold. Was good to see something different, normally we will only go to Flamingo Land zoo, so it was good to see something different. We only managed to catch he Sea Lion show because there was too much to see, it was good, but to be honest the show at Flamingo is better.
Tried to see the penguin talk but the design of the enclosure means that only the people near the edge get to see it, all other people would only be looking at the back of peoples heads….. not too happy about that.
Back at the travel lodge now, cuppa and about to head out for some food. It has to be said I never know why people pay for expensive hotels, all you need is a clean room with a bed to sleep in, and in my case a desk to sit at with my Laptop, just not worth paying for a posh hotel unless your staying there for a while. So, Travel lodge = cool.
Ok, time for food…
