Scrivener and the Improbable, Impractical Word Processing Machine – Cheap Mans Version….

As is always the case with me I see what others are using and have to come up with a cheaper alternative as I just don’t have much disposable income. I came accross the below article and was suitably impressed. (Improbable, Impractical word Processor)

Basically the writer has taken the new iPad and Razers new mechanical keyboard and stand for tablets and made a decide he can use anywhere to work on writing projects, using the amazing Literature and Latte program Scrivener.

I have previously bought the software for my windows machine as I can than have it on my Laptop and main machine. I wanted the Mac version but the cross working wasn’t great. After reading this article I realised that the iPad version had been released and synced using Dropbox to the Mac version, this means I have writing software that I can use in any situation.

I went onto the app store and bought the iPad version and the Mac version. I think this is the first software I have bought for several machines. A bit cheeky by L&L really as you should only have to buy the license and then use on any of your devices, but seeing as I cant do that I bought it.

So, I now have my cheap mans improbable, impractical word processing machine, via my iPad 4, Bluetooth keyboard and 3g connection for Dropbox. with all of these devices and books on writing sometimes I wonder what it will take for me to take the profession seriously. Although, it has to be said I am getting allot better at writing something each day, whether it is on this Blog, or in one of the many pads I currently have on the go.

My advice, if you are wanting to do some writing projects (like NaNo 2016) get Scrivener and get writing. I am going to make my forst big project NaNo 16 on Scrivener. I will update on how I am getting on as we get closer to the event and during.
