I’m doing it again, I had a conversation with a friend today about magic systems and had just about decided to restart my NaNo project Dragon Lords.
Then I read an excerpt from an upcoming book from a favourite author, this made me pick up my NaNo book 13th Earth – Before the Dawn, reading through this I was actually enjoying it. Apart from the terrible grammar and word mistakes I noticed. With some revision and improvement of the dialogue that could be a really good book.
So now I am back to wanting to do my Sci Fi stuff… for gods sake I wish I could just make a decision and stick to it!
Just had the idea of possibly doing a short story in each, see what I enjoy the most. I have some leave coming up so I think this may be a good idea for while I am off work and not going out places with Tracy.
Now to come up with what to cover in the two stories.
Given the Dragon Lords story starts with the protagonist finding memory crystals that tell the story of the last days of the Battle of Xias.
13th Earth I am not sure what story I was going to do next but I think something that shows the waking up of the Auroch hives would be good. Although I will have to find some way of doing this within a human story. I think one of the way I was going to alert the Humans to the change in behaviour was to have the ones that were hibernating on the Earth wake up. Will have to jot down some ideas for this.
