My recent trainer purchase has prompted this, I did have all of this as part of that post but then it just seemed like I had gone off on a total tangent, so I have separated it.
I try not to get involved in the politics, it just doesn’t interest me, I find it hard to believe any campaign promises, but it was a mistake to leave the EU. When you look at why we voted to leave its hard to believe the British people could swallow the rubbish that was being touted, 350million a week…. rubbish, Turkey joining the EU….. rubbish and lot and lots of other falsehoods. But they were the two that seemed to be plastered on everything, the only reason the vote to leave went through was immigration, peoples naivety in listening to the leave side saying the borders would close when that just won’t happen. Britain needs to be in the single market and the EU are not going to let us without observing the four freedoms (people, goods, capital and services) they will have to allow some freedom of movement so then the major push for leave is rubbish….. Anyway, I have got off the point here. The point was when we leave the EU we are then going to be faced with more and more of these import taxes, and it makes buying allot of goods too expensive. There is no way I would have bought these trainers if I had known they would have cost me another £25.40. Frustrating to say the least.
The only way to get round this are trade deals, and how long will we have to wait for these, the government takes an age to do anything. I suppose I am just going to have to write a few best sellers so I will be ok….. ah dreams….
