Get off your ass and start writing, seriously!
This is what I need to be tattooed on my forehead, so every morning when I look in the mirror it’s the first thing I will see.
I have a dream…. I am sure someone somewhere said that. My dream however is to be a published writer. To have my books sat on the shelves at bookshops, and achieveing that dream should be very high on my priorities. Instead i play games, or sit in the office an procrastinate. I think if I could quantify the time I have spent in here not doing anything productive, it would be embarrassing.
I bought Scriviner on my main computer, this also meant I could install it on my windows Laptop. I then haven’t done anything with it, I had planned to be proficient with its use by the time NaNo hit so I could use it. Then because I love to write on the Macbook or this iPad I am now typing on, I recently used a voucher to get it cheaper for both of these platforms as well. So I now have the program on all of my electronic devices. I think I need to spend the time to get the tutorial finished on one of them so I can move my novel planning for NaNo into that format. One of the ideas was to use the Scriviner software along with dropbox so I can access all of my files when I am on the move. Lets see how that goes.
October the 5th, less than a month until I have to be tapping away at this keyboard every chance I get. Finishing last year has made me more determined that I won’t have another year of failure, time to keep the momentum.
What I think I should also do is once November is over , keep the momentum going as last time I needed a break but unfortunately that break lasted about 6 months. Building that routine was something I was looking forward to.
