Each year the BFS holds a writing retreat at Gladstones Library and as it’s for a limited number you have to apply and then names are drawn out of a hat.
I applied for last year’s retreat but did not manage to get a place. When I applied for this year I was so glad to get a place. We go on a Friday and leave on Monday, so we have 4 days (3 nights) of time to write.
I am currently outlining my fantasy novel so I can write this novel while there, I am hoping that this weekend will give me the focus to be able to get a good chunk of this done and hopefully set a habit to be able to continue once I am back home.
I am really looking forward to it and will no doubt post once back.
